Stuart Katzoff

Managing Partner

In 2008, Stuart Katzoff spearheaded the relocation of the Tucson Sidewinders, a Pacific Coast League Triple-A professional baseball franchise, to Reno, Nevada, and led the construction of the state-of-the-art Aces Ballpark. In their inaugural season, the Reno Aces drew more than 466,000 fans for the club’s 72-game home schedule. The Aces Ballpark facility has been widely recognized as one of the premier ballparks in all of MiLB. In 2010, Mr. Stuart Katzoff and his partners developed the Freight House District, a 365-day-a-year entertainment destination, located adjacent to the Aces Ballpark. The Freight House District, a $100 million mixed-use development, currently includes four dining and nightlife ventures. Mr. Stuart Katzoff is also president and managing partner of Manhattan Capital LLC, a holding company based in New York City involved in real estate development, investment management, and professional sports ownership. Mr. Stuart Katzoff began his career working for attorney F. Lee Bailey and Lehman Brothers, and holds a B.A. in Economics and a J.D. from Tulane University. 

 

Jerry Katzoff

Managing Partner

For over 30 years, Jerry Katzoff has been engaged in the acquisition, development, construction, renovation, and management of commercial real estate and resort properties. Dover Historic Properties, co-founded by Mr. Jerry Katzoff, owned a wide variety of properties: 13 shopping centers in 8 states, an 11-story office building, 9 apartment properties, and 47 historically certified structures comprising a mixed-use rental area of over 3 million square feet. Mr. Jerry Katzoff has also been involved in the acquisition and development of malls and hotels on the New Jersey shore and in Florida. Mr. Jerry Katzoff's other recent projects include Greenhouse Day Spas and the Il Mulino restaurants, both of which entailed Mr. Jerry Katzoff taking a sought-after single location experience and successfully duplicating it in other cities.

Brett Beecham

General Counsel

Brett Beecham, an experienced litigator and land-use practitioner, serves as the Director of Operations and General Counsel for Manhattan Capital LLC. Mr. Beecham has beensuccessful at managing the development of residential and mixed-use projects valued at over $150 million in New York City and nationally. He has a strong background performing financial and legal due diligence, negotiating contracts, managing personnel, preparing project budgets and schedules, creating marketing/sales strategies, and interfacing with lenders, owners, and partners. Admitted to the Bar of the State of Massachusetts and the State of New York, Mr. Beecham earned his J. D. at Boston University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College.

Ben Lerer

Senior Vice President

Ben Lerer joined Manhattan Capital in 2014 as a Senior Vice President.  Previously, Ben was an investment professional at Avista Capital Partners, a middle market private equity fund in New York.  While at Avista, Ben performed due-diligence on and executed a number of buy and sell-side transactions in the healthcare, industrials and consumer sectors.  Prior to Avista, Ben worked in the Global Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, advising multi-national corporate clients.  Ben received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and undergraduate dual degree in Economics and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis.
